Health & Education

The Nepal Aid Association is a nationwide organization in Germany that operates locally in Nepal. The association operates a jeep in the Tamang Heritage Region with its Nepali partner organization "Himalayan Cooperation Society (HiCoS)", which transports patients from remote mountain villages to so-called "Health Posts" or the nearest hospital. In addition, the association supports these health facilities with investments and the funding of emergency transports to the capital, Kathmandu.

We offer flexible stays in the project village of Khamjin, about 150 kilometers north of Kathmandu, where we need support in our health and education project. Depending on the length of your stay in the project, a portion of the travel and meals costs will be funded through sponsorship. You can find out more in the Funding section of our detailed information booklet Volunteering. You will also find all the information on the current call for proposals.

Why sponsorship?

It is particularly important to us that our volunteers and the people in Nepal can meet on the same level and that everyone can benefit from each other's strengths and experiences.

It is particularly important to us that our volunteers and the people in Nepal can meet on the same level and that everyone can benefit from each other's strengths and experiences.

On the other hand, it is important for us that volunteers are treated fairly. This means for us that they should not have to finance their exceptional commitment in an unjustified manner.

Because of this, we have developed a funding concept that is supported by sponsorship. This means that all private donations continue to arrive 100% in the project, volunteers continue to make the project progress through active work on the ground, and above all, volunteering is also possible for everyone, regardless of their own financial and professional situation.

"Rotary is committed to international understanding worldwide. FairVolunteering is a special stroke of luck: for the volunteers, it is a great experience and at the same time they guarantee the sustainability of this meaningful project."
